This immersive half-day experience is designed for true crime fans, aspiring CSI’s, and anyone fascinated by the science behine solving serious crimes.

The Case: Fact Meets Forensics

In this gripping forensic simulation, you’ll investigate the tragic and high-profile case of Reeva Steenkamp. who was shot and killed by Paralympian Oscar Pistorius. This real-world incident captured global headlines and left many questions unanswered – especially around key forensic evidence such as bullet trajectory, weapon use, and physical positioning at the time of the offence.

What You’ll Explore

Led by professional forensic scientists and investigators, you’ll tackle the case using real techniques and tools, including:

Ballistics & Firearm Analysis – Study rifling and firing marks, bullet comparison, trajectory mapping and conduct gunshort residue testing.

Post-Mortem Injury Assessment  – Examine bruising, match tool and weapon marks and analyse stomach contents for time of death estimation.

Forensic Linguistics  – Dissect witness statements, analyse sound wave travel, and understand how audio evidence affects the investigation.

This hands-on scenario based workshop is educational & eye-opening – from the moment you step into the lab to the moment you draw your conclusions.
