VIRTUAL EVENT – SUNDAY 25TH APRIL 7PM
WHEN WORDS SOLVE CRIME… AN INTRODUCTION TO FORENSIC LINGUISTICS
Think Forensic would like to invite you to another intriguing and unique virtual workshop. This time along with our expert, we will be exploring the subject of Forensic Linguistics. How do audio transcripts assist in criminal cases? Can the written word help build a profile of an offender? Can text in documents prove authorship? Real crimes will be referenced for examples and there will be plenty of time to ask your own questions on this intriguing subject.

FORENSIC FACTS!
If you follow us across our social platforms, I’m sure you have already heard of Forensic Fact Friday! We have been busy posting a Forensic Fact every Friday. Here is a little snippet of the facts we post! Give us a follow for more facts!
Everyone knows maggots and insects can help us estimate time of death, but they can help in many other ways too. For instance, they can determine where a crime took place and whether a body has been moved to a different area or environment. Analysis of the insects can establish the cause of death while microscopic examination of plants (in particular illegally imported drugs) can reveal the country or area of origin. This branch of science is known as Forensic Entomology.
That’s a wrap from the Think Forensic team for now, if you have any queries, please do get in touch, and thank you for your patience & understanding over the last 12 months. Have a Happy Easter from all of us at Think Forensic.
