KEY STAGE TWO
Meeting our experts in person and being able to ask questions relating to experiences in the field of CSI (crime scene investigation) and careers within the judicial system or forensic arena is great for your pupils. However, whilst we would love to visit every school in the country, we are aware that due to travelling or monetary restraints, this is not always feasible. We have therefore put together a variety of options based around logistics and budgets, please select the most appropriate option to investigate what best suits your requirements.
All workshops are designed for groups of up to 30 students, if you have additional students, please contact us to discuss costs.
CRIME BUSTERS
Our Crime Busters workshops have been designed to be as interactive and fun as possible.
Led by our staff, the workshop starts with an introduction to the different branches of forensics and careers. Following which students don crime suits before visiting an appropriately aged crime scene. They then undertake a series of experiments and analysis around the evidence gathered and come to a scientific conclusion as to who the culprit is.

Curriculum links: science, mathematics, literary, art, PHSE and personal development. There is a direct link back to the curriculum in both the identity and crime and punishment modules.

crime busters - virtual
If you would like to run a Crime Busters workshop in your school and budget is an issue this is an ideal alternative. We can arrange to have all resources and equipment needed for the session sent out to you and can then run the workshop virtually from our HQ. This reduces the costs of travelling and accommodation etc. but still gives your students the opportunity to ask questions and gain from the experiences of our experts. It also allows us to highlight any aspects of the curriculum or work you have already instigated.
The session takes the same format to our Crime Busters workshop and the equipment used is exactly the same, It comes to you packed in a series of boxes which are clearly labelled and ready for you to hand out to students when prompted. Once the session is finished you simply box the kit back up and we arrange to have it collected from your reception. For content please see our Crime Busters workshop.

hire kits
Take the load off yourself or your staff with this tried and tested forensic workshop in the form of a hire kit. Simply order the kit which contains all the resources you need, including crime scene, forensic equipment and worksheets, to provide an interactive hands-on workshop. When you’ve finished, box the kit up and we will arrange for it to be collected and returned to us.
Aimed at stimulating an interest in science and promoting awareness around careers in forensic and crime investigations, the kit is designed for up to 30 students, who after investigating a crime scene (provided) rotate around a series of workstations. Each station focuses on different aspects of crime investigation and forensic analysis. Results of their analysis culminate in solving the crime. The session can easily be overseen by your own staff or assisting parents, but if you wish we can arrange a zoom call to help familiarise with the format of the day and the techniques involved.
